Upstream Oil & Gas
Within its Upstream business Chariot is focused on building out a full-value chain upstream growth business Chariot has secured a material economic exposure to producing assets offshore Angola working alongside Etu Energias and Shell Trading.
Chariot also holds a diverse footprint in Morocco and is pursuing a range of new ventures across the African continent, leveraging both management’s wide network and its technical team’s experience, to secure scalable projects that span the full pipeline of production, near term development and exploration assets.
Renewable Power
Chariot’s Renewable Power business is focused on providing competitive, sustainable and reliable power solutions across Southern Africa.
A core focus is trading renewable power in South Africa through Chariot’s stake in Etana Energy. Etana holds a trading licence which allows transmission of electricity from renewable projects to end-users through wheeling across the national grid which creates an opportunity to both diversify the energy mix and address the significant power demand in the region. Chariot is also participating in the development large scale generation projects and is looking to build out a long term renewable power portfolio as well as progressing a range of power-to-mining projects.
Green Hydrogen
Chariot’s Green Hydrogen business is one of the first movers across this space and is looking to build a world-class green hydrogen portfolio.
In partnership with Total Energies H2, Chariot is developing Project Nour – an asset with 10GW power potential in Mauritania. Mauritania is exceptionally well-placed for low cost green hydrogen production due to its world class combination of land, sea, solar and wind resources. Chariot is also working on a smaller, early stage green iron project.
